Now Hiring: Work with Us

As the Forum gears up for yet another busy year, we’re hiring new talent! Apply here. (You have to be signed into your CMC email in order for this form to load correctly.)

With an average of over 1000 views a day, the Forum has the widest online audience of any newspaper on the 5Cs. If you want to be heard, this is the place for you. We’re currently hiring for three positions:

Staff writers: Our bread and butter. Join us to investigate campus news or share your opinions with the Claremont community. We’re always on the lookout for fresh content for our News, Opinion and Life sections. If you think you have what it takes, fill out the general application with a 500 word article you’d like to see the Forum publish. If we like your work, we’ll hire you. (Freshman may instead submit a 500 word writing sample on any topic.) Writers get paid per article and have opportunities to start recurring features.

Photographers: Visual content can tell a powerful story. Forum photographers in the past have covered big campus events and shot creative photoessays. If you want to snap photos for the Forum, send us a link to your portfolio or a few of your favorite shots in the general application.

Web developers: Can you write CSS in your sleep? Does backing up a database sound like a solid Thursday night? Do you have experience with Wordpress? Part of running an online newspaper is running a website. If the web is your specialty, show us your chops.

Applications are due by midnight on Friday, September 14.
