On Wednesday, September 24th, ASCMC released the results of its Class of 2018 Presidential Election. Beating out 9 other contestants, the election was won by Reid Dickerson. Reid ran on a platform of sponsoring freshman class snacks Monday through Friday, planning CMC-5C mixers, and cooperating with the other colleges to work towards reducing alcohol-related hospitalizations of freshmen. You can read his and his opponents full platforms here.
A total of 212 votes were cast in the election. Below is the breakdown of the election and the votes cast for the top three candidates, as reported to us by the ASCMC Elections Committee. Voting is based on an instant runoff system, so the last two rounds show the top three candidates.
