Party in Claremont Hall?

Claremont Hall, the future of CMC

When Claremont Hall was designed, our administration supposedly put thought into the “social life potential” of the new dorm.  Dean of Students’ office told ASCMC the new dorm’s design would foster an environment conducive to parties.   As of yet, ASCMC hasn’t hosted a party in or around Claremont Hall.

Alas, Claremont Hall has gained a reputation as the “morgue” or the next Stark Hall (the second newest dorm), the only “substance-free” dorm on campus.  Some have said there’s a pattern emerging– the newer the dorm, the newer the student body, the quieter CMC gets.  Maybe it’s a good thing; I don’t know.

Stay tuned for the Party Inform.

This really doesn't have anything to do with this article, but I was wondering if there could be any possible way of posting the party inform before Thursday for those who would like to make plans in advance?

You really took this idea and ran with it Siegel. I propose Frostitutes and Eskihoes, given the recent abundance of cold weather.

We can't really post it in advance because we usually don't know where it will be. For example, we're getting a lot of negative feedback about having it in Claremont Hall, so we might move it to elsewhere if DOS lets us.

But for next weekend, we're doing a huge 5C-only masquerade party in the middle of NQ (huge tent, dj, stage, lights, etc.). Kylie sent an e-mail about it.

maybe if you can shut some of the lights we'd be more willing to hang out in C-mont hall after dark. its daytime all the time there

people who live in claremont hall need to relax. a major party can only help your already tarnished and near stark-like reputation. embrace fun.

Nathan: the only way to shut off the lights (for the do-it-you-self-ers) is to twist out the bulbs in the lounge. I hear they come right out and click back in but the only downside is they're difficult to reach

Party canceled due to complaints and light issues... but we're doing something big on Bauer steps anyway.

umm Mr. Siegel you are incorrect. The Rose Institute held the first ever party in Claremont Hall, entitled the "Pre-Madrigal Rose Rager" I hear they had a champaign fountain, a christmas tree, and a champaign pyramid and DJ Khalid....very festive we the best....
