Photo Essay: Relive the Fiasco

“Lupe! Lupe! Lupe! Lupe! Lupe!” Thanks to ASCMC, Friday night was a big night for 5C hip-hop fans. Anthem, DJ Asoyolo (Austin Soldner CMC ’09), B.O.B. and Lupe Fiasco each took turns blasting beats and spitting rhymes to roughly 2500 cheering students at Bridges Auditorium. As Lupe Fiasco kicked off his world tour, this photographer fought security guards to get the best shots for the Forum. All photos from the event can be found here.

Wow. Amazing shots. Much better than our drunken cell phone camera stills. Thanks Sean.

Considering how those security guards were making our lives such a struggle, I definitely appreciate how amazing your pictures turned out. Good job Sean!

I'm sure it got considerably harder to take shots of Lupe once every rando townie jumped into the pit and security started freaking out

Props, Sean. If the pictures from Baldy didn't cement you as CMC's next Ansel Adams, these photos sure did.

Abhi - Without a doubt, Sean deserves a raise for these photos alone.

I wonder, I feel like a lot of people liked B/O/B more than Lupe, or thought they did a better job, and they didn't even get the whole spotlight! Think all that money on his tour was well spent?

Just curious as to what people thought, and the friends that I've talked to thought Lupe wasn't as good. (Not to say I didn't like the concert! It was sick. )
