  3. Please don’t do it again.

Those of us that live in Stark enjoy our peace and quiet. And hate the fact that you damaged the dorm.

  5. A. Nothing in the dorm was damaged. There was one spill on the elevator (someone dropped a can of Squirt on accident), but aside from that there was no mess as the hosts cleaned up afterward.

People have spilled on the elevator previously, predictably as a result of an ill-balanced drink on their way back from a meal. If you’re going to be in a tussle over spills, you should hold others to the same standards.

    B. It was one Friday night of the year. If you cannot deal with one night of your year being slightly disrupted, you probably should not be attending college..or at least should not living on campus.

    C. Many of us who live in Stark were put here against our will (nearly all of the Stark freshmen). Besides, there is no requirement or agreement that this dorm be quiet. The only reason that it is quiet is by tradition. We just do not find a reason to follow a tradition we didn’t sign up for. We simply wanted to have some fun in our own dorm, and just because we were given the short end of the stick as dorm choices go, does not mean we should forgo fun.

Is there a reason that you feel your desire for quiet should, at all times, trump our desire for occasional loud, fun, dancing? Is it a superiority complex or simply anal retention?

Just because Stark is substance free does not mean that it should be fun free and perfectly quiet at all times as some of you seem to suggest.

And aside from all my reasoning and explanation… that party was just plain hella fun! I mean, you’ve got to admit that blacklights and loud music in an elevator is one of the crazy-awesomest sights you could ever see! I believe that most of you criticizing the party were those who just gave condescending glares and walked up the stairs. Everyone who attending loved it. BEST PARTY EVER.
